10:00 Julie Church, RD: Food, the Body, and the Church
One's relationships with food and body are socially constructed. The Christian church adds unique and challenging elements to these relationships, including: perfection, sin, self-discipline, and grace. Julie will approach the topic of eating and body image concerns from the broad cultural perspective, narrowing it to the specific issues faced by members of the Christian community.

11:00 Meaghan Ormsby, RD: Intuitive Eating
Intuitive eating is about learning how to live healthy and manage weight without dieting. The audience will learn why eating without guilt, ending body-bashing, and rejecting the diet mentality are important steps to making peace with food. Learning to eat intuitively is learning how to eat for internal versus external reasons/cues, which can lead to finding ones natural, healthy body weight.
