Have you ever wondered why foods in season taste the best? Whether its tomatoes, sweet potatoes or asparagus when it is eaten at its peak of perfection it connects our taste buds with nature's natural rhythms. In this inspiring class we will explore the tantalizing tastes of local, seasonal foods as well as the environmental and physiological impact that these choices have on our health. Local, seasonal eating doesn't have to be about deprivation. It can be about abundance. Join us for this fun and tasty class that explores how to support your body and the planet with wholesome sustainable foods. Our menu will include a delicious ruby red soup, savory sweet potatoes, braised greens and to top it off, rum raisin poached pears.
Where: Greenlake PCC classroom. Due to limited parking for shoppers please use street parking.
Date and Time: Wednesday, November 19, 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure adequate time for seating, distribution of handouts and collection of payment.
Cost: $5 for current GSDA members, $10 for Guests. Please bring cash and present payment to Tarynne prior to class.

About the Instructor:
Jennifer Adler MS, CN, promotes a delicious, integrative approach to nutrition to audiences and individuals. By introducing people to healthier nutritional options and explaining the chemistry and philosophy behind those choices, Jennifer empowers clients to develop lifelong, healthy and conscious relationships with food.
Currently, Jennifer provides individual and family nutrition counseling at per private practice, Realize Health, and is an adjunct faculty member at Bastyr University.
Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Counseling from Bastyr University, a Graduate Certificate in Spirituality Health & Medicine and a Bachelor's in Psychology. She trained at the School of Natural Cookery in Boulder, Colorado, one of the most respected schools of its kind in the nation. She also has extensive training in Ayurveda and whole foods preparation and is licensed by the State of Washington as a Certified Nutritionist.
