Position:  Media Chair

Term: Elected by membership – 2 year term

Qualifications: 

  1. Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)

  2. Member of the North Sound Dietetic Association (NSDA)

 

General Duties of all NSDA Board Members:

  • Attend all board meetings, events and professional development meetings.

  • Contribute to the Fall Newsletter.

  • Assist with social media, advertising and email, as needed.

  • Assist Nominating chair with recruitment and orientation of your position for the following year.

  • Assist in recruiting sponsors.

  • Perform any additional duties as directed by the BOD. 

 

General Duties Specific to Media Chair:

  • Maintain the NSDA website and keep all information up to date, including: sponsorship information, professional development meeting information, meeting printables, contact information, membership information, PayPal payment button, board positions and board roster.

    • Work with appropriate board members to obtain necessary information. 

    • Update website as needed.

  • Coordinate the production of NSDA publications/newsletter

  • Check email regularly, distribute to appropriate members

  • Record lectures and have recordings available to members who request to listen to them at a later date. – President-elect to assist if needed 

  • Maintain DropBox with audio files, speaker handouts and CPEU certificates. 

    • Send to members upon request.  

  • Maintain complete files of information, graphics, resources etc.

  • Maintain Facebook page and create Facebook events for professional development meetings and any additional events 

  • Advertise open board positions via social media and website.

  • Report on media activities at board meetings.
